Disaster Recovery
Get back up and running - quickly
We have been actively searching for a disaster-recovery solution for small businesses, since seeing one of our customers experience a server crash that wasn’t detectable - their server hard drives caught fire! At RAM-Tech PC Solutions, LLC we offer unlimited remote support for our top-tier packages, and we know it’s only going to be a matter of time before a failure happens.
Out of all the monitoring systems we have seen there is not one system that trigger an alert if that the drives are on fire. We looked and researched a disaster recovery solution that’s not overly expensive, and we think we have found the fit for most small companies. We have tested a complete restore in our office, and the process worked flawlessly.
Here’s how it works:
It’s a two-tier backup system that backs up an image of your server/workstation locally and then copies that image off-site. The initial local backup takes about 1-4 hours depending on the amount of data. The off-site backup takes place after your working hours so full internet bandwidth (speed) can be utilized.

During our test our data file size was 160GB - that backed up locally within 1-2 hours, and the local restore to a different computer took 45 minutes to 1.5 hours. That means our total downtime was about 1.5-2 hours, after that our test server was back up and running.
